Concept
The overall concept of the project is based on the belief, supported by experience, that deaf people are interested in art, want to expand knowledge, but face serious barriers.
Implementation
In 2018, the deaf (youth, children and adults) participated in guided tours and workshops at six cultural institutions in Poland: the National Museum in Warsaw, the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, the Center for Contemporary Art at the Ujazdowski Castle, the Silesian Museum in Katowice, and the Arsenał Gallery in Bialystok , Galeria Labirynt in Lublin.
As part of the project, films were created with PJM translations to 51 definitions in the field of art, including: academy, basilica, enamel, manufacture, altar, synagogue, artistic fabric and others, which expanded the catalog of the PJM Art Encyclopedia entries to nearly 200!
